For this school project I worked with three fellow students to rethink and rebuild the website for WWF Belgium. The old site felt outdated and didn’t quite do justice to the organisation's mission and energy, so we set ourselves the challenge: make giving, joining, and learning about WWF easy, motivating, and enjoyable.
As a team, we started in Figma, designing a fresh look and a shared design system to keep everything consistent. I took charge of the Donations and Impact pages: figuring out how to present stats, success stories, and explanations in a way that would inspire visitors to get involved. Each block had to be unique and purposeful, from interactive graphs to clear FAQ sections and direct calls to action.
Besides designing, I acted as scrummaster—organizing sprints, running standups in Jira, keeping the wheels turning, and helping everyone stay on track, especially when deadlines got close. Across five sprints, we refined our ideas with weekly feedback sessions, and learned to balance individual creativity with teamwork.
Once the designs were done, we built the site with HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript, using GitHub and Netlify to collaborate smoothly and deploy progress. My work focused on making donations straightforward (with usable forms and catchy CTAs) and visualising WWF's impact with real data and stories.
We finished with a site that's not only modern, responsive, and visually engaging, but also genuinely encourages people to support WWF’s work.
