In this project, we were assigned to redesign and design a single webpage for an existing digital agency’s website. The catch: the current website was designed by another agency, so plagiarism was strictly forbidden. The goal was to create a fresh, visually distinct design that kept the agency’s branding intact but introduced new elements, colors, and layouts to give it a unique look.
Each student focused on designing one specific page, such as About Us, Services, Portfolio, Blog, Contact, or Jobs, with required sections and content tailored for that page. After completing our individual designs in Figma, we collaborated in groups of three to merge our separate pages into one cohesive website. This involved creating a shared design system to ensure consistency in typography, colors, buttons, and other UI elements across all pages. We polished and adapted each page’s content to flow seamlessly and made sure the navigation, header, and footer worked uniformly throughout the site.
Following the design phase, we translated our group’s unified design into code using HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript. Everyone was responsible for making their own page fully responsive, adding animations and micro-interactions, and contributing to the common header, footer, and homepage. We used GitHub for version control and collaborated closely outside class hours to meet deadlines. My main responsibility was designing and developing the contact page, as well as contributing to building the homepage together with my teammates. The homepage contains elements linking to each team member’s page to create an integrated navigation experience.
This project taught me valuable lessons in teamwork, communication, and blending diverse designs into a polished, professional website—all while applying best practices in web design, UX, and responsive front-end development.
